   I was disappointed in the movie. But I disagree with you guys a little — I don’t think it’s a good movie, even if you have not read the books. The writing was bad — and the effects also. I hated the scene where the windows exploded. In the book it was subtle, in the movie it was impossible to think it was anything but supernatural. I could go on and on about the problems — they even changed the date on the locket to be different from the book and as such, not historically timed correctly. Terrible shame … such good books.

   Davina, it’s so hard to see past the stuff we aren’t happy with. But I chatted with a friend who has not read the book and she really liked the movie so much so that she plans on reading the book now.
   So we win some we loose some. Hopefully the next book to movie adaption will be MUCH better.
