Bitter Sweet Love by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Sexy Gargoyles, what? Oh yes! I think JLA has taken the supernatural to an all new level with her new series about Gargoyles and Demons. Jasmine has a huge decision to make about her life. She doesn’t want to be taken care of by someone else, she want to be independent and adventurous but that is not how life is in the Clan of Wardens, also it is time for her to be claimed for a mate and the one she has been pining over for the three years since he left without a word is back and doing the claiming. Dez has had demons of his own to fight, quite literally and now he is back to claim her. Jas has seven days to accept his claim and she is going to get her adventure, little does she or Dez know what is to come.

I loved Jas and Dez, they were lovable and believable, take away their stone like exterior and wings they were just a normal young adult couple trying to find their way back to each other but also have otherworldly duties to protect the world from the ever growing demon population.

Bitter Sweet Love was well written and vividly descriptive, I could picture in my mind the way Dez was sleeping in the corner with complete clarity. JLA has a way with words and phrases and I love reading all of her works whether it be Young Adult, New Adult, Paranormal or Romance. I am really looking forward to White Hot Kiss, the 2nd book in The Dark Elements Series, expected publication February 25, 2014.

Bitter Sweet Kiss was given to me as an Advanced Reader Copy provided by the publisher.
